Life is beautiful :)

Dear all you special people,

And so my story continues...

As I said before I post a few of the verses I like sometimes, here are a few:

The grass withers, the flowers fade but the word of our God will stand forever: Isaiah 40 vs 8

"Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don't rely on your own insight." Proverbs 3: 5

‎"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If any one destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and that temple you are." 1 Corinthians 3: 16-17.

Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God. ~Romans 5:1-3

And this verse is from today. I love this verse, I love all the verses. ‎"And above all things put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in, all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God." ~ Colossians 3: 14-16

"What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him," ~1 Corinthians 9

I was listening to this song one morning this week it's so awesome!

I also came across this song, I am always coming across new songs :) I really love music.

On the 15th of June I started a blog on tumblr where I have been posting things I write. I love to write and I just feel alive when I am writing. I created it so that I can share my writing side with all of you :)! This is the link to my tumblr if you'd like to read my posts :) -> http://nicolahill.tumblr.com/ . I am really enjoying having a place to keep my writing. I would love to be an author one day.

On the 15th I also went out with friends to Pizza Express and we went and watch Kungfu Panda 2! Have you seen Kungfu Panda 2? If you haven't you must go and see it!!! Haha it is so awesome, I laughed so much. I love good humour :)!

Here are some quotes from the movie:
Mr. Ping: My son saved China - you, too, can save! Buy one dumpling, get one free! #KungfuPanda 2

Tigress: I hope this turns out better than your plan to cook rice in your stomach by eating it raw, and then drinking boiling water. #KungfuPanda2.

On Thursday I also created my Ustream which a free broadcasting channel so I can broadcast by radio and by webcam online. I will start my own broadcasting soon :-)! I have lots of ideas for it :))) and I'll let you know when I'll be on air. This is the link below.

This is another song I came across, wonderful lyrics!:

On Friday night I went out with friends and we played pool which was so much fun!

This morning it was departure day (where most of the guests leave the hotel) so that's a busy day for us as housekeepers. I spent most of the afternoon sleeping, I was so tired. Tonight I was waitressing and now it's chill time which I am using to update my news and update everything I have online ;)!

I would love to hear your news too ;)! Thanks for reading my blog and I love having you all in my life :)! Remember that life can be awesome :) there's so much fun to be had!

God Bless
Nicola

News News News!

Hellooooooo all you wonderful people in my life!

I am sorry for the delay in my news, we have had power cuts in England so I couldn't access my blog, ok I can't use that excuse in England lol but in Zim it would have worked. It's been a very hectically busy past couple weeks but a very good couple weeks :)!

When I last wrote my news I told you my BIG news that I had been hiding for ages that was my sister had come to England. Well she's not in England anymore lol... She was going to come and work for a few months but she decided to go home to be with her boyfriend and flew back to SA on Thursday. On Friday she sent me a text saying she is safely back in South Africa and she sounds very happy. She may come back to the Uk in the future again to live but for now her home is in Africa. It was awesome having her with me and introducing her to all my friends. I am sure she wont forget all the walking and continuous on the go life haha, we were out doing things almost every day, it's more chilled in Africa. Oh yes and it was awesome having a maid again, I got her to clean my room and do my washing and hoover and... Oops isn't that what sisters are for? I am only joking :P.

Ok so I shall continue from the 31st of May. I got that evening off work and had a nice relaxed night with my sister which made a nice change because we had been very on the go since she got here.

I am forever putting quotes and bible verses on my facebook - I TOTALLY LOVE words and writing and reading! I am a writer which you may have guessed by my continuous updates and blog posts. I shall share some quotes and verses with you.

People see WHAT we do.... God sees WHY we do it!

Quote from Wildfire (31st May), One girl says to her friend when her friend offers to help her with the horse, "I thought you didn't like horses." The friend replies, "I don't but you don't have cable." haha!

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for flesh, but through love be servants of one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbour as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another take heed that you are not consumed by one another. Galations 5:13-15.

The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offences. On the lips of him who has understanding wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense. Wise men lay up knowledge, but the blabbing of a fool brings ruin near. ~ Proverbs 10: 11-14

‎"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2

On Wednesday the 1st of June it was my half day so my sister and I caught the bus to Exeter for SOAP. I have explained in my previous blog posts what soap is ;)! And later my sister caught the bus home and I went to Nooma which was AMAZING :)!

On the 2nd of June it was just under 1 month until Woman in Touch! If you don't know what Woman in Touch is well I'm going to be putting up a separate blog post all about it :)! It is going to be the BIGGEST event in the UK this year. All you beautiful woman are all invited :)! It's on the 1st and 2nd of July in Exeter. If you're in the Uk or can come to the Uk it would be wonderful to have you at Touch 11 :D! Ask me for details but I will also give you details soon :)!

On the 3rd of June my sister and I had an evening braai/ barbecue on the beach with my friends on the staff. I used one of those disposable barbecues for my first time which are awesome!

On the 4th of June my sister and I went to Exeter Respect in the Park which was really cool! And I saw lots of my friends and a couple of them were dancing and they were excellent! It was a really good day and the park was soooo packed, I really did feel like a squashed sardine lol. After that we went for a wonderful dinner with lots of people at a friends house.

On the 5th of June my sister went to church in the morning for her last time and then came back to Sidmouth and I went to the Touch Vision Party later. The TVP was awesome and I am sooo excited about Woman in Touch! It's going to be fantastic! After the TVP my sister and I went to a friends house to watch a movie and it was an awesome night with lots of laughs :). And it was a really good movie called - LEAP YEAR :)!

On Monday the 6th of June my sister left to go and see friends near London before she was flying home on Thurday. I loved the comment she made as I was taking her to the bus station in Sidmouth and dragging her bag down the street. She said, "it looks like I hired you to carry my bag," because I was wearing my housekeeping uniform lol. I really miss her and her awesome sense of humour!

I bought and watched The Chronicles of Narnia - The Voyage of the Dawn Treader which is a really good movie :)! It was my 2nd time watching it, I had seen it at the movies 1st.

I found an incredible bible verse:
For we know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. The death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey their passions. Do not yield your members as instruments of wickedness but yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life and your members to God as instruments of righteousness. For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. ‎~Romans 6: 9-14

On the 7th of June after departure day I was unavailable all afternoon - I slept and slept, I really need to catch up on some sleep.

On the 8th of June I went to SOAP and attended a bit of the Nooma Chicken appreciation party. My sister also traveled from London to Cardiff, Wales on this day to spend the night with one of her school friends.

On the 9th of June I worked in the morning and then I went to Exeter to help prepare for Touch 11. After that I went to SOAP. My sister flew back to South Africa on the 9th.

On the 10th of June I went to Exeter after work again to help prepare for Touch 11. Then had a quick coffee with friends before dashing in the rain to catch the bus and go back to Sidmouth because I was working in the evening. I got very nicely wet too and I was laughing because at the bus station I looked like I had been swimming in a puddle and everyone else hardly looked like they had a drop of water on them.

On Saturday the 11th of June it was departure day and I went to Exeter again straight after. I met with a friends from high school because I had one of my friends from Zim visiting us so we had a mini high school reunion. We went to lunch at Nandos and also for desert at Pizza Express and had a nice girly afternoon haha. Oh yes we also all went to my friends house. I had the evening off work.

Woop I made it to today :)! This morning I had the morning off work so I went to church and then the lunch after church :)! It was sooo good to be at church, I work most Sundays so I miss it a lot but it was so nice to hear the message and see everyone! I was working this evening and work went quite fast actually.

I have tomorrow morning off work too :) and I have plans for tomorrow which I shall update once it has happened in my next blog post.

Love to you all,
And Ladies don't forget about Woman in Touch 2011 - the most fab even coming up this July :D!
